I’m a struggling university student who wants to make it as a doctor in life. I tend to come off as a shy and reserved person and in reality, I am just that. You could say I’m more of a listener than talker - which would conveniently explain the lack of conversation skills and awkward silences. On some days, I’d rather read a good book than strike up a conversation.

I wear a scarf when I go out, and love collecting them in different colors to match any salwar khameez, I may be wearing. Although I’d love to wear contacts, I’m much too fond of my glasses to make that change.

I’m not a difficult person to please. It may sound trivial, but it’s usually the small and sometimes irrevelant things that lift up my spirits.

Like - a new set of paints or drawing pencils or a new notebook even (especially the spiral kind) or sprinkling water up high into the air and watching the drops fall back to the ground - would be to name the random few that came to mind.

On Art: I like to think I’m a creative person who seeks comfort in Art. There are so many things I want to try but don’t have the time for. And I find this depressing and frustrating even. My interests range from traditional art to computer generated to scrapbooking to jewelry-making to sewing to interior decorating. I have a lot of crafty, artsy junk lying in my room and around the house.

If you look carefully, you’ll see glitter heart-stickers (did I mention I love collecting them too?), a friendship-craft book, an alphabet stencil, construction paper, a pack of oil paints, 2 packs of poster paints, a boarding pass (I collect them too, I love travelling!), my only 2 ever owned diaries, a bead kit, an old photograph, red random paper, a shopping bag, pamplets, a notepad, glitter pens, color pencils, a roll of green wallpaper, and more construction paper.

On Music : I love music and enjoy almost something of everything. I have a favorite song every week only because I tend to overplay a song - which fuels the need to search for newer songs. Or rediscover older favorites. Sometimes my search for good music goes beyond the language barrier. It would be perfectly normal to find me listening, and if I’m obsessed, even singing along to a song whose meaning is lost to me. It may sound ignorant and even foolish, but it’s music. And you can’t help what you like. Having no real musical talent, I can’t help but adore the piano and guitar the most.

I know that was a long read, and truthfully, I’ll be more than surprised to see you here. The more I write, the more I discover myself, so no harm there. Anyway, what I wanted to say is that despite my lack of social interaction, I do love having friends and making new ones as I go along. Because really, you can’t have too many friends.
