Site news and updates

New affiliate, affiliation and some graphics

New Additions:

I’m uncreative when it comes to titles, but it’s all true.

New Affiliate: I’d like to welcome Ellada of Ensomnia as AExA’s newest affiliate. Ellada, of course, needs no introduction; I’m more than pleased to have her as an affiliate.

Affiliation is now open. Those who are interested may go through the affiliation guidelines for a general idea before applying. Affiliates will be announced over the next few updates when they are decided upon.

Graphics: There is one design – Barbwire, and three brush sets available for download. The design is simple and straightforward; it was originally created for a friend and is now up for download.

All three brush sets – Passport Stamps, Textile Blocks and Fading Lines were created a while back, waiting to be added. I usually have a couple brush sets already made or halfway done so that it’s easier to update when I can’t otherwise. I hope that they’ll be useful.

Enjoy the new additions for now, and thank you for the comments on the last update!

Site Redesign – Version: Paper Cracks

Filed under Links, Plugs, Site Related 10 Comments

It has been two years and a few odd months since the last site redesign. A month ago I started on this one, and since its start it has undergone quite a few changes which finally resulted in what you see now.

As is custom with every redesign, I’ve been scouring the site for graphics to scrap and of them, I’ve deleted one design, two brush sets (I’ve actually rebuilt them into a new set) and some very old avatars.

I know this layout is a big change from anything I’ve had on AExA before. I’m not entirely satisfied with everything, I would really like a feature somewhere but haven’t had a chance to make it work. Despite the little misgivings I have about it here and there, I do like the single column; it’s different and lets me work with more space and new ways to display content.

Other than that, please welcome AExA’s new link exchanges: Candicell Designs, Paint & Lace (Skye’s new graphic site), Divine Designs and Clickity Click.

Also, a thank you goes to Leo and Tammy for being so very patient with my endless worries, concerns and probes for their opinion; and also to Skye for all her help with PHP (this actually goes back a year) and not getting tired of having to answer my questions.
