Version: A touch of color, 14th of it's kind, is an attempt at a simple free-floating design that uses strategically placed arcs and a little PS magic. Tested in Firefox, Internet Explorer and Opera.

About the tutorial:

This tutorial will teach you how to make areas of your image linkable using this image (© Getty Images) below:

Steps by Step:

Open the image that you want to image map in PSP.

Go to File--> Export--> Image Mapper. Like this below:

Now adjust the magnification to whatever you feel comfortable with.

Select either the rectangle, polygonal or circle tool for creating the map area. I've used a circle mapping tool to outline a tear. See below.

After you've done that, for the selected area, enter the URL, alt text and target values. Repeat for any other areas.

Set the image format and optimize if you wish.

Save the file as an html document (Eg: ImgMap.html)

Open the file, control + C to copy the code and the Control + V to paste it into your webpage and your done.
